Statewide Leadership COMMITTEE
The focus for this committee is to build a statewide leadership team that can help to support forensic nursing as a profession and network with forensic nursing leaders. The meetings will be a platform for discussion, future planning, networking, and sharing safety/good catches, program updates/challenges data collection and other projects. Membership will typically be a forensic/SANE program coordinator/manager or a key leader in forensic nursing for a healthcare system.

Sexual Assault Advisory Board of Ohio (SAABO)
SAABO meets quarterly to ensure that all survivors of sexual assault or sexual abuse have consistent access to quality medical care in the collection of evidence that meet the standard set forth in the Ohio Protocol for Sexual Assault Medical and Forensic examinations. All members are encouraged to attend!
Participants:
Review the Protocol annually and recommend revisions as needed
Recommend policy changes to member agencies to related to the protocol
Identify action items or introduce subject matter that will aid implementation of the Protocol
Identify and propose resolutions for Protocol complaints and concerns
Evaluate the effectiveness of the protocol

Ohio IAFN is starting a new subcommittee. This committee will focus on all aspects related to planning the Ohio Chapter Annual Education Conference. For 2024 the conference will be on November 8 near the Stark County area.
